leakdown test etc. Expect to put in 5-6000 bucks easy, but the car should be good to go at that. Provided the motor is strong. At that price you could get the car, bring it all up to over over spec w/ fresh parts and have spent in total a reasonable amount for the type of car it is.

A well kept example is going for $12k in general.

Just be wary but if you're prepared to put some time effort and moeny into it anyways than it sounds like it could be worthwhile.

Good luck, definitely get the motor checked.
