I live in southwest Germany and drive my M3 all year round.
We get little snow but when we do the M3 handles it much better than most other rwd cars because of wheight distribution and locked rear end.
It is also much much better than the E30 wagon I once had and a match to my 525 TDS Wagon on snow tires.
Get good snow tires and have fun, I do!

Does anyone out there drive there M3's year round? I don't care much about the area's where there is no snow. I am having a tough time deciding, if I should just throw on the hockey pucks, and run it through the snow. I would clean it from road salt, etc., so to preserve the condition, but I am having a tough time with the decision. B.T.W. , my car has NO rust anywhere on it, and based on the underneath of the vehicle, has never seen any snow. My car is really clean, but not perfect. 132K. Overall a good example of an ORIGINAL paint M3. (never painted on) I have driven it in the rain, and bought the car as a daily driver. Should I drive it in snow or????
