Could be.

I know that the MAF&chip has been on and off the stove for quite a long time. Remember that realities like price and the low number of potential buyers could be issues too. Not to mention competitors. There could also be driveabilty related issues - I don't know for sure as I spoke to him about the project over a year ago. Modern Performance in NJ has also made a MAF conversion for various BMWs. Maybe a local tuner could do it for you near your home. Ove rin Germany guys get M3s reteaked for alpha-n or whatever from local specialists. In America we seem to want to get a drop-in instant MAF unit. I'd like to hear from some SS users with a year or so of experience. I spoke to two guys who tuned the units on their own, liked them, but had to retweak from time to time. Maybe that can be avoided with some careful dyno tuning.
