Alternator Bushing Help Needed Please... (archive)

Posted by Slim on October 27, 2001 at 14:52:43:

I'm replacing the bushings on my alternator b/c the old ones were very worn. I got one side in ok, but when I put the dowels in they push out the other side. So now one bushing is in with the dowel and other bushing halfway in. Any suggestions on how to get it all the way in?
TIA
Clayton
