Installing the gear may be another story. You will have to remove the cams. Not a lot of fun, but not that big a deal. I wish that was all i had to do. GOOD LUCK

hmmm -- to change cam gears, you do not need to remove the cams -- the gears bolt to the front of the cams. also, regarding the adjustable cam gears, you can only retard the timing by moving the gear - if you want to advance it, you'll need to move the cam itself, which is doable but harder than just moving the gear.
generally, adjustable cam gears are used to "dial-in" an aftermarket cam to have the supplier-recommended timing events happen when they're supposed-to....
