Well I told you all that I would post what I have found out about this car in my girlfriends garage. I wanted to find out as much as I could before I posted again. (sorry for the wait). I did get a chance to sit down and talk with her father about this car. He has an extensive number of records on it. He pulled out the original sale sticker off the car and handed it to me, all German, heck I couldn't read it one bit. He then showed me a notebook of everything he has done to it, records of oil changes and also had the recipts. He has changed the oil every year, usually April. He has the reciepts from that auto store of what was purchased ect. He said he changes the oil, bleeds the breaks, and changes most fluids once a year. He said that this is standard on all his collector cars he owns. The car is up on a set of jack stands, so it hasn't been sitting (not sure if this is good or not) He said he starts the car up once or if he's lucky twice a month and lets it run for about 20-30 mins. (don't know if this is good either) The car looks amazing on the inside and outside. He said the car has never even seen water, he has never even washed it, has sat under a car cover all it's life. I did ask him if he was willing to sell it, he said well I'd keep it in the family, so I guess he was saying he approved of me if I wanted to marry his daughter??? He told me he'd let me have it for 10,000. Good/Bad price?? Which I do not have, nor will have any time soon. I'm only 19, a poor college student. Now for the info directly relating to this car. I did find out that it is a evo2, is this good or bad? He said he directly imported this car from Germany, suposedly had a friend over there get it for him. He said that the 27 miles are from a combanation of getting it on the ship and then driving it to his garage from where he picked it up from in the US. The car has never been registered in the us. (will this be a problem if I ever tried to register it??) I did get the vin#, and looked it up on carfax, nothing came up, is this because it's not registered? Is there a way that I can find more info on this car, maybe like a bmw club or something? I would really like to know exactly what it's worth, and any info related to it directly. Sorry I don't know anything about m3's, just that I've always wanted one, but knew I could never get or afford one. I am sorry I don't have any pics of it, my sister is in Puerto Rico on a missions trip and borrowed my digital cam. I am in the proccess of trying to locate one to post some pics. NOW, do I dare ask him to start it? Is this good to run it? He says he does it every month. Sorry that I don't have a ton of info on it, will try to find more out in the days to come. Any replies are helpfull. Thanks Kraig.
