The E30 M3 is a relatively straight forward car, your only real concern should be the timing chain most other jobs are straight forward enough. I have owned an E30 M3 for some eight years and have covered 80,000 miles in it. The only expenses being the timing chain which i swopped myself(not a big job despite what people say) at a cost of 800 which included new water pump and oil pump plus a head clean and valve lap. The only other expense being an air flow meter at 300. In eight years 1100, plus services. Money very well spent in anybodies books. Buy one you will not be disapointed
