the chainrail i'm having problems w/ is the top one-the one you see when you lift off the valve cover....i'll try the torx/12 pt socket method,i hope it works here:-) once it's off can i replace the bolt w/ an aftermarket one such as something from pep boys or auto zone-off course w/ the same thread pattern/length or does it have to be bmw? thanks for your suggestions...rob
