The 320i is an E21-- much tighter in the engine compartment. The 325i has heavier springs in front than the 318i; if you`re figuring on changing springs, the 318i would work with the heavier S50 engine.
Except E30 M3; What year and model should I look for to do the S50 swap? Tomorow I am takeing a look at '83 320I for $1,200; '86 325I for $1,900 and '91 318I for $2,400.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
