Darren, you just described late in day one for me last weekend at Sears Point at the uphill turn 1 and turn 6 (carousel) on both counts. The fuel pump seemed to be okay(replaced three months ago) so day two I just kept the fuel level up, no problem. The engine check light always seems to come on when I am least prepared so I suck a little air until I can look up and see it's the washer fluid.
