to address some points about the s4
stock valves tear that is why people upgrade to baileys they do not tear (stainless steel)
turbo problems typically occur early on less than 15k miles (althought some newer models have had problems at more mileage than that) but the my 00 either go early or are fine.
AOA service is just as bad as BMW's was when I owned my e36 m3
two words quattro rocks!!!!! there are no more complicated maintenance expenses on an awd vehicle
