The early 2.5L 944Turbo pumped out 217-220HP & the 3.0L 944S2 produced 208-211HP. Most magazines recorded 0-60MPH/ 1/4 miles times are between 6.1-6.7 sec./14.7-15.1 sec. for the 944Turbo & 6.7-6.9/14.7-15.1 sec. for the 944S2. But the late model (250HP) 944Turbo & Turbo S, you need to watchout for. There times are 5.5-5.9 sec./14.5-14.7 sec. & one magazine even post times of 5.2 sec./14.2 sec. You must have a 2.5L or modified 2.3L M3 to f@ck with them. But if any 944Turbo has been heavily modified we best forget it,unless you get forced air induction on your M3.
My friend has the 220HP 944Turbo (all factory) & we are pretty much evenly matched. I respect VW ...opps! I mean Porche, It's still German engineering.

My dad used to have a 944 turbo( I almost inherited it but a hurricane totaled it)and it was real quick. The turbo definately gave it much more torque than the other models. It was extremely uncomfortable though. The pedals were a bit offset to the side which made driving getting used to.I would have to say that it scooted to 60mph in just a bit under 6 seconds
