Well all I have to say is fu*k off to people who are trying to lowball values on our cars...
Bill,
The value of a used car is determined by what someone is willing to pay. It doesn't matter what you think the car 'should' be worth. When a listed price provokes a lot of 'that's too high' comments you should listen, not rant. The internet is quickly eliminating 'overpaying buyers' by providing all sorts of forums (like this one :-) that allow people to becoming knowledgeable buyers. Let's face it: most everyone here can tell you what the *country-wide* market prices will be based on condition. If you go 'counter' to that knowledge just because you think your car 'should be worth more' then you are wasting the time of every buyer who comes across your ad.
In other words, you can ask MSRP for all I care: there are simply no buyers out there at that price/condition and there *never* will be. Now ask yourself: will there really ever be any buyers at the price your are actually asking (given the car's condition)?
