Well, really I don't care all that much because it couldn't make up for the other things I mentioned.
As far as build quality, I was comparing to Stromung and Borla. The B&B muffler I got had a few sloppy welds, the fit was bad, and the tips weren't quite parallel with each other. The main body of the muffler was a little deformed too like it was warped or something.
As far as sound, I think I don't like the sound of the chambered design. I like the Stromung and Supersprint sound much better. The Eisenmann is also a straight-through design though I haven't heard it.
The Borla sounds similar to the B&B to me but quieter and without as much resonance. That resonance was the last straw for me. I hated adjusting my speed to avoid the very loud and very obvious resonant frequencies.
BTW, I heard that B&B was making 2 different "sounds" now. Do you know which one you have? They may have fixed sound on the newer version.
I just put on a brand new...well i got it used with 500 miles on it B&B with DTM tips.
First off...the fit wasnt perfect, but it was OK...the build quality looked good.
The DTM tips are 1000000 times nicer than those things Supersprint calls DTM tips.
The thing sounds awesome...yeah its loud...a lot of resonance below 3k...but above that its amazing...and on teh highway...i drive over 3k rpm in 5th and its not much louder than stock...well nothing that bothers me...it will set off quite a few car alarms :)
