"I usally see several E30 M3's being driven around and usally by sub 23 year olds. Being they can't afford a E36 M3 yet"

Give me a break, most people who drive E30 M3s do so because they prefer it over the E36 "M3".

There is only one REAL M3...

Ignorant?

Not really.... If you really think everyone that owns a BMW simply because it's the ultimate driving machine, you're wrong.

Most own a BMW because of status... hence the young kids w/E30 M3's. If they could afford a E36 M3, you bet they'd upgrade. That's not saying a E30 M3 isn't a great car.... it's just not cutting edge anylonger....

As for the E30 M3 being the only REAL M3... I think you're stuck on nolstagia. The E36 is in everyway a better car.....

BTW The only REAL M car is the M1 the rest are production based marketing of the original.

SO maybe you should buy a M1? Then you could have something to brag about.

I think you've got it twisted. The US E36 M3 is tame by comparison to the E30 M3, that's why enthusiasts often refer to the E30 as the Real M3 and the E36 as a stroked 325iS. The E30 M3 was a drastic change from the standard 3 series. The US E36 M3 on the other hand is a 325iS with M tech body kit, steering wheel, seats, wing mirrors and a motorsport stroker version of the M50 engine. The idea that the M1 is the ONLY true M car is ridiculous.
