You probably will want to check with the E46 M3 board for help on year 2001 and later model M3 information (click on E46 M3 from the list on the right of the main page). Generally speaking, very little is changing for the 2002 model M3, so I doubt there will be much difference between the miniature models of the cars. The only differences between 2001 and 2002 M3's will be slight differences in the options (like the inclusion of the SMG transmission option), but other than that they are the same..

Can anyone help me on this one?
I'm pretty much clueless on m3's, but just wanted to know if the m3 2002 came out, and if it did what's the difference from the previous one in 2001?
I was about to buy the miniature collectible of the m3, but i'm not too sure if its worth waiting since someone informed me the 2002 series were supposed to arrive in the next month, a rumour or not, i might need it for christmas (for a present) and it's either the 2002 which is better or 2001 in yellow :(
