Is it better to remove battery for winter storage? (archive)

I purchased a Deltran Batter Tender Plus for winter storage and I was wondering is it better to leave the battery in the car and just plug my battery tender on it or remove the battery completely from the car? Because of the electronics (OBC) and rechargeable batteries in the dash I figured I should just leave the battery in the car. The Batter tender is suppose to require no maintenance and will automically reduce the charge when battery is full. It is not a trickle charger.
