I recently have heard a noise coming from the dash when I have the heat on. It sounds like my brakes are bad, because the noise only comes on as I am coming to a stop. However, when I turn the heat off, the sound goes away as I brake or drive otherwise. I have also had a problem with the heat itself not working. Sometimes it will make a rumbling sound and sometimes it won't come on at all. Any ideas? Thanks.

It sounds like you have some trash (leaves, etc.) in the ventilation fan. To access it, you`ll have to remove the panel on the firewall. It`s a real PITA to get to it. I had a mouse nest that took me two days to remove. It had clogged up the drains for the cowl inlets, causing water to run into the passenger side floorboard when it rained.
