What's the correct alternator ground cable size (gauge)? Where's the recommended/OEM point of contact in the engine bay?

I think it is a 6GA. wire and the point
of attachment is on the bracket that support
the oil dip stick which is bolted to the engine
block. hope this help.

Thanks. My is currently bolted directly to the engine block for some reason, and as the car gets hot, I begin to lose voltage output. I believe it's because the ground cable is becoming hot, affecting the cable resistance, etc. I'll try to re-bolt it to your recommended location.
