In my case I teed off of the vac line leading to the fuel pressure regulator.

The vacuum pulses are so strong that if you hooked up a vc gage the needle would move up and down so fast that the needle would be a blur. There are a few ways to dampen the pulses, one being the use of very skinny tubing, another being a small orifice. I used a chamber that I made using a fuel filter.
