up on the dyno this weekend here in Seattle. Cold. Raining. Warm car and fluids. Euro airbox, cam gear, JC chip, "cold" plugs, GSP Magnecor wires, VS&R center exhaust, Raven muffler, 92 octane pump gas, Redline 10w-40 oil, 74k miles on the engine, recent valve adjustment, leakdown test great, compression = 210 across all 4 cylinders, no smoke out the tail pipe. Say, what, 18% loss in the drivetrain? So, 203Hp at the crank? Good? Bad? What to look for?

BTW, Mike S's M3 with a 2.5L engine put out ~208Hp at the wheels......

Erik

That's great output at the RW. But you have to compare Mike's dyno numbers on the same brand of dyno. A Mustang puts out lower numbers than a Dynojet.

An engine puts out max power at 100% relative humidity, too.

Also, have you noticed a lot of engine noise with 10W40? I'm thinking of running Mobil 10W40 this winter instead of 15W50.
