So im driving along in this "not so nice"(lightly put) area of st. louis and i see an E30 M3. It Looked like crap so i grew some nerves and I talked to the owner. "ITS REAL!"(checked the vin)he said, but it doesnt run .I told him i would be back to look at it further. I might offer him $800-1000 For it. I am planning to put a 95 E36 M3 engine & tranny in it. Replace all suspention and repaint it. I can do this all for just about 5 grand (including car)since i am in good with my mechanic and I would be renting space from him. Would this monster conversion be woth my Time/Money? Would i be better off with an E30 325is? I have some concerns such as the weight and ballance being completely off. Im not looking to make this into a track car, rather a more reliable daily driver and showcar that will most definately shut down those rice-boys. Im looking at my driveway right now and i cant wait to tear into this project. Im looking forward to what you all think. Thanks, J. Wheeler.
PS: If anyone can help me locate the m3 engine and/or tranny please lt me know.
