When you lock ur car with the quarter turn you are simply locking the doors.. When you do the full lock when the key hole stays turned you have locked the doors to where they can not be unlocked with out the key.... I learned this the hard way when some one broke my window and opened the car door and stole my stuff.. Then the glass man asked why i did not use the feature.. Now I use it every time I love the doors..
