Is it true that M cars are a little noisy at first start-up specially when the weather is cold. But once they warm-up, the get quieter?

Please let me know that this is normal. Do you guys experience this?

Thanks, Bruce

It's true that it does happen at times when the timing chain tensioner isn't doing it's job as well as it should usually at start up when oil has drained out of it. My car rarely does it so not every M3 does it but it is common. Just make sure your oil level is always at Max.
