You got it. Weight distribution, positioning of the engine etc. makes a massive difference. Small cars with small engines have low weight transfer, and therefore good handling. Small cars with big engines have shite weight transfer, therefore crap handling. You can't defeat the laws of physics which is why all these e36 M3/V8 etc. engine swaps are very questionable.

because it is so light compared to the E36 M3. Weight has a lot to do in handling, also the 50/50 balance.
