Coolant over-temp to kill the AC if the coolant temp gets too high, and 2-stage temp to turn on the aux fan.

The fan temp switch wires break off on just about every M3 I've ever heard of. There is a wire repair kit available from the dealer, includes 3 pigtails, about 10" long and shrink wrap. I'll have to look up the part number.
