You have to have a long wooden or metal dowel. You press one end of the dowel up to the part and the other part up to your ear. Or you can buy a mechanic's stethoscope.

You may have a valve out of adjustment causing the noise, too.

Valve adjustment is ok i just did that not too
long ago. I have use my wife stethoscope and I'm
positive Noise is comming from the injector.. it is more pronounce if i place stethoscope on top of the fuel rail. All four injector have varying
frequency of noise the #3and#2 injector is the loudest of all four. my question is this a sign
of a bad injector?
