Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like a good Honda engine builder could do a decent job on an S14, as long as they use all the right specs, tolerances, etc.

BTW Adam, I don't mention spelling mistakes but since I keep seeing it over and over again, the correct spelling is "bearing."

Good luck,

I am looking at a possible engine rebuilt, as you guys know had a rod barring spinning. I want to know what parts to order and who I should have rebuilt the engine. I have a friend that rebuilds engines. Hondas, and American cars. He is really good, but this engine is anything but normal. I want to know if someone knows how to rebuilt engines can they do the S14 engine or not. Is it really “special” or once the engine is opened up it is easy to figure out? Are there any parts that would look ok but I would have to change, like the head bolts and what not. Thanks Guys
