I'm running 9x16 Borbet type A's on the rear with 225/45's, it looks fine IMO, a little streched but not stupidly so, also the rim doesn't seem to stick excessively out of the tire so there are no major worries about kerbs (I'm going to wish I hadn't said that the next time I park it!).
Haven't got any photos I'm afraid so this may not be that useful to you.

Mike, have u got any close ups of your 9inch wide rear rims wearing 225*45 tyres?
Just wondering because I know a lot of tyre manufacturers dont recommend using their 225`s on a 9inch wide rim, but some do. Do they look really stretched? are the rims exposed a lot(likely to be kerbed easily?.

I have a set of RS`s in 16*8 front(ET20)and 16*9 rear (ET24)and the rears are currently wearing 245*45 rubber (over sized and wrong profile i know). WOuld like to try 225`s if they fit but some people have recommended against this in the past.

Hi Adrian!

I have the BBS RS Wheels 16x9 in the rear and 16x7 in front and only use a 5 mm spacer up front.
The rears are marginal as is. With 2 big guy in the rear seats it will just scrape the sidewalls.
Tires are 225-45-16 all arround

I have read a little about rear wheel spacers, 15mm seems to be mentioned quite a lot.

Has anyone used them with 16 inch factory bbs alloys ?
What was the results in terms of road holding and wheel clearance ?
