A roll bar with a crossbrace will add stiffness to the shell when gusseted to the B pillars. And it is very safe for a drivers school. It can be made with a removable harness bar to help put your track tires in the back. Having a roll bar also allows you to install a seat back brace that can save your life if you hit a wall backward.

I am far from being a purist and let me tell you that when my S14 dies, I am gonna install an S52. More power and torque at a much lower RPM, it makes driving around the track easier/faster.
