The engine is a tight fit and super heavy. The e30 M3 is known best for its awesome balance. That balance would be totally flushed down the toilet by swapping in a M5/M6 engine.

A better bet would be a late model M3 engine, which still might destory the balance of the car.


To have an M5/M6 motor in the E30? How much heavier is it? Would the plus out weigh the minus? Could the clutch handle it?

Or just change the rear diff? Or both?
