There should be no vibration, what I have is a resonance of the exhaust system, which is normal but not a engine / mechanical vibration.
Anyway, take a look at the exhaust mounting / routig just to be sure.

I know there has been a lot of discussion on this and buzzing gear knobs etc. But I would love to cure this harshness at 4k.

I have new engine mounts, diff, gearbox and all new shifter bushes etc, as well as a new gear knob (All original BMW parts). The engine was balanced when rebuilt. Is there any aftermarket mod to lose or reduce this vibration ?

Does anyone know the cause ?
