Overspray and mineral deposits are quite similar. They are both on top of the surface and stick like hell. The shearing action of the clay bar seems to work really well. Just be sure to follow the instructions, use plenty of lubrication, fold the clay often, and be very careful and you shouldn't have any problems.

The PO of my car must have hosed it down and left it to bake in the July sun. The waterspots are big and embedded. What is the best method to get them out? I can't tell if they are through the clearcoat. I don't think a simple rubbing compound would do it. Would I have to have the clearcoat reapplied? Thanks in advance.
