Intake gaskets....checked for vacuum (archive)

leaks today, sprayed a bit of carb cleaner on the intake gaskets, and my idle surged upward a bit. Sounds like a vacuum leak to me. One more damned thing I've got to take care of now. What all is involved in replacing these? How much dissassembly is involved, or is it pretty straight forward. Everything else I want to do seems easy enough, but not sure if this is something I should tackle. Any input? Thanks for any info!
