Thanks for the responses. I read that you can use household white vinegar to dissolve the hardwater deposits and it won't hurt the paint. I think I'll try that and maybe follow up with the clay. If that doesn't do it I'll take it to the pros. Thanks.

The PO of my car must have hosed it down and left it to bake in the July sun. The waterspots are big and embedded. What is the best method to get them out? I can't tell if they are through the clearcoat. I don't think a simple rubbing compound would do it. Would I have to have the clearcoat reapplied? Thanks in advance.
