Thanks for the note, the box amongst other things is being looked at tomorrow......

I know there has been a lot of discussion on this and buzzing gear knobs etc. But I would love to cure this harshness at 4k.

I have new engine mounts, diff, gearbox and all new shifter bushes etc, as well as a new gear knob (All original BMW parts). The engine was balanced when rebuilt. Is there any aftermarket mod to lose or reduce this vibration ?

Does anyone know the cause ?

Hallo Adrian,
had same problems with my car.
Noise and vibrations are coming from the gear box.
Change of bearings will not stop noise.
Which kind of gear is in use ? 4+E or 5 sport
