in his daily driver and the fabric is pilling up after only a few months, FWIW. I think you would save more weight by going with a racing shell type seat, rather than the stockers or an aftermarket recliner.

I think the weight difference btwn leather and cloth would be negligible, probably less than a pound per seat.

One last thought -- if you did a Recaro or Sparco shell, you could use aluminum side mounts and save some weight over the stock seat brackets as well.

Has anyone ever thought about the difference. I was thinking about having my stock seats recoverd with a Sparco material.
