Every late model, low-mileage car I have ever looked at from a dealer was "just traded in by a grandmother who only drove the car to church and back on Sundays". Just remember that these guys are only second on the scum totem pole above lawyers for distorting the truth and sometimes outright telling lies to make that sale. Do your research. If possible, find out who the last owner was and give them a call for the real story. They won;t lie because they have nothing to lose; they already have their money ;^)

Anyway - if you want a cheap daily driver that is a little less expensive to maintain BUT is not nearly as capeable or as much fun to drive as an M3 - by all means get the 325. If you're having this much trouble with the decision it tells me that you're just not the ideal M3 owner.

I need some last thoughts from those of you familiar to the 1990 E30 BMWs. This afternoon I drove an immaculate 1990 325i that only had 53,000 on it!!! Some grandmother traded it in over the weekend and I was given the first opportunity to drive it. The car was fantastic with loads of power and a perfect leather interior. They are asking $7950 for it and are going to throw a timing belt chained in free of charge. Just wanted some words of encouragement and/or advice about buying this automobile. My gut is telling me to buy it, but my conscience is slowing me down. I just don't want to buy a car that is going to spend me out of house and home. I have to call the guy back by 9:00pm central time.

Thanks for time,
Brett
