.....well the 325i is a Touring. I still believe driven well on a public road there isn't much between them. The 325i is just more discrete about what it don't have to rev it to 4000 revs before you get any performance out of it. It's not what the peak torque figures's the shape of the curve.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that the M3 isn't faster or more fun when driven 'hard'...but at the price it's a more 'sensible' choice that one can have a lot of fun in too.

I disagree with you on your comparisons. I have both and the minor difference in low end torque is not an issue in daily driving, and if you just love to drive then the M3 is a far superior car.
