FOR SALE: ONE BMW......:(
In MY experience, car salespeople and really any salespeople that work on commission tend to be at least somewhat dishonest, i.e. they'll just say what they think will make you buy their product whether it is the truth or not...nevermind the whole truth.
Very gross generalization you have just made there. I am 100% commission mortgage loan originator. I have built my business strictly on word of mouth referrals. If I lied to people or got people to get a loan that was not right for them, and that includes getting a loan if they shouldn't, I would have been out of business a long time ago.
Besides, where's the integrity in manipulating people for your own benefit?
I agree that many commissioned salespeople lack integrity, especially in my line of work, but there are more than a few of us who don't lack it, and that alone is one of the reasons some of us(commissioned salespeople)have become as successful as we have.
Plus going home at the end of the day knowing that I have helped people, and have not screwed anyone is something that I feel proud of.
As always though, caveat emptor
But to say we are all liars is as blatantly ignorant as to say all people who drive BMW's are assholes.
