You would not be flowing any more air. The AFM's are identical in their capacity to flow air. You would only be sending incorrect flow information to the ECU if the chip is not specifically made for the AFM/Injector combo you install. Simply replacing stock w/EVO AFM will fool the computer into thinking the motor is getting more air then it really is. Mixture goes rich.

Fuel/Air is a ratio. The stock AFM is calibrated to a meter air sufficient to match the injector flow rates. The EVO AFM can meter (not flow) more air but that is of no use if the stock injectors can not provide the corresponding amount of fuel.
