This plate wasn't in every car.
This plate was only in the car if the first owner who ordered the car wanted it inside.
So only 2 or 300 EVO3's did have this plate.
I have the original brochure about the Sportevo and on the pics inside is also no plate

My car was #78 off the line in 1989 but I don't know how many units were produced that year. Anyone have yearly production numbers? I do know that 4,996 E30 M3s were imported to the US from 88 to 91 and that the most were sold in 1988.

..I mean these cars are so rare..the US versions I mean. Sheesh there were only a few hundred 91s I think. It's not hard to find out this info given the VIN..there may be a decoder applet or chart out there.
