shop that does such things, and make sure before you spend the moola. try auto electrics in the yellow pages

Okay i am almost 100 percent positive that my alternator went out last week, I found a used one for 100 bucks from a shop as well as someone to install it. Here is what happened i was in the drive thru and i turned my car off, when i tried to restart it, it would not turn over at all(no power) so i got a jump and it started right up. I took the battery to Sears(it was dead) and and got a new one. The car ran fine for a couple of hours, then when i tried to start it again, the same thing happend. So i believe it is the alternator. Is there anything else that it could be?I don't wqant to spend money on an alternator and it end up being something else.
thanks,
Gerald Williams
