I have a continual problem with my 89 325IS, sometimes it takes me 10 minutes to start my engine (even while the engine is still warm) at other times it works perfectly fine. The other problem is that the engine will suddenly die while I'm driving on the road (it feels as if it has run out of gas)...after couple of minutes I am able to restart it and drive again. Any thoughts?...I already changed my oxygen sensor and that seemed to help somewhat but not entirely. I also replaced the rubber intake valve boot with a new one. Will appreciate any input on this matter.

Thanks for the helpful input Jack, Roger and Chris. As I've already changed the crankcase sensor, it seems that the consensus indicates that I have a faulty fuel pump relay. After I received your comments, I have told my mechanic to check and replace the fuel pump relay. It that does not do the trick, I'll have him run tests on the main fuel pump and secondary fuel pump as Jack suggested. I really appreciate all of your help and expertise! Thanks again
