How hard/expensive to replace the rear engine seal? The
oil leak is coming from the dead center of the car, between
the engine and transmission. I suspect that it should be the rear seal. Could it be from other source? Can the rear seal be replaced without dismounting the transmission? Please help.

Hi, I had the same problem, and I thought it was the rear seal. I bought to seal to replace it but in the process of doing I found out it was not the rear seal but the upper oil pan gasket. You should check yours. And yes you have to dismount the transmission to change the seal.
