...The M3 feature in this months Classic & Sport Car is really not that informative. If U know anything about M3 models (EVO III), ask most enthusiast do, U will find it basically repeats known information & nothing really written from a different perspective.
The real gem in the Feb issue is on p159. There is a 1/2 page article on an unknown (2 me anyway) BMW from Italy, the 2540 production run of an e30 320i Sport. It's basically an Euro 325i Sport body kit & chassis w/ a s14 engine, but only havin' 155 TRQ compared 2 the 170 TRQ found in the e30 M3. The article also state that the springs are softer & offer a less sporty ride w/ more body roll. So all U ///M wannabe(s) if U really want 2 put a ///M badge on UR e30 3 series, & don't want 2B hassled by the ///M-police, U can make a clone of the (M)320is. All U need is an front & rear ///M badge (only ///M badge on the trunk & no ///M3 emblems please), M-Technic kit & a s14 engine. I don't know if it uses e30 M3 brakes & calipers or if it has 5 lugs, but I believe it does. I hope this is informative 2 many, as it was 2 me.
PS- I didn't buy the mag because the M3 article wasn't that good 2 me & basically all the info from the mag on the (M)320is U can read in the above post.
