My final 2 penny's worth relates to those that really care about there business and ML are clearly NOT in that category. They are trading off an old reputation and little competition, when the situation changes they will just get left behind. If you overchanrge, get it wrong and are totally unhelpful then I'm not sure how long you will last.....

I just wish more companies were like 930 Motorsport in warrington, I have been taking my 911 RS there for years and they are knowledgeable extremely helpful and know what service is. They actually rebuilt my M3 engine for me, fitted schrick cams and did a thoroughly proffesional job (inc timing the cams and making up offset dowels to get it right....). It will be dyno'd soon and I will post the results.

Unfortunately they only played with a 'German cortina' as a special favour and don't do M3's normally..... !

The point being that they are one of the few companies I know that offer genuine service (They didn't charge me much either !)

Good luck out there and keep the press on what people are like coming. I am due for a trip up the Nigel Moesely and will let you know how I get on......

customer base. I don't think at the rate that one hears of and reads complaints that day will be too far in the future. There are far too many other firms around now (particularly in the South East) for them to be able to continue to treat customers in the 'alleged' fashion.

After a while 'support' from 'specialist' and 'classic' magazines will also have to dry up thus removing a source of 'unintiated' customers.'Word gets round' and no one will believe what they read anymore.

Excess charges and poor service in comparison with other providers will catch up.

After spending thousands, yes thousands and not 1 or 2 thousand, it's too painful to add up the invoices.....

I have had the whole of my suspension replaced with trackmeister (After test driving their demonstrator, which drove well) only to find terrible 'crashing' at the back. ML then replaced the rear trailing arm bushes that should of been replaced following their inspection. The problem was still there (Although that wheel now crashed as much as the other not more !)

The car then had, new gearbox mounts, diff mounts still the problem persisted. Every time I paid for everything, time parts, labour travel inconvenience etc, etc

I was then unfortunate enough to have engine problems and have a had a full engine rebuild (Not at ML so that went perfectly well!) Suspension problems have persisted I broke a new top mount and suggested it might be damper travel that was the problem (The top mounts had only done 2,000 kms, replaced by ML)

The shocks failed (Leda) they had had a lot of problems with them they said.... I finally solved part of the problem the rear was so low that I only had 25mm of travel before the shocks bottomed out hence I had a fairly progressive suspension system from soft (The trackmeister rear springs are softer than standard) to infinate over every bump !

The next problem was harshness at the rear and a whining I have now had a new diff, wheel bearings and gearbox !!!!! and I think I have finally solved the last rear suspension problem. ML fitted solid rear subframe bushes claiming they would NOT increase the harshness on the road or transmition of vibration (Fortunately I spoke to someone who had fitted these bushes) So hopefully I can replace the fitted rear subframe bushes with standard and cure the problem (There is nothing else it might be !). Nigel Mosely is happy to take back the diff and gearbox

No wonder the poor ledas had failed.....


Are you sure it is the rack. The track rod ends get a real hammering and don't last long. If it means stripping the rack to repair you may find a new rack will be cheaper.
