You are referring to the M50 6-cylinder engines that had plastic impellers up to a certain date. The impeller would crack and eventually disintegrate, distributing tiny plastic pieces all through the coolant passages in the engine (bad news).

you know? I see some water pump on ebay that says metal bla bla.. verse the plastic.. any one have any idea about this? what is better or worse..
