Rev limit with Schrick cams (archive)

I have Schrick cams 284 inlet and 276 exhaust. Schrick tell me that they are safe to the standard red line but have not explored past that with stock valve springs. I am tentatively revving it to 7,400 rpm but it would happily pull to nearer 7,750 if it was safe. has anyone got any experience of running these cams with standard springs and explored the rev limit (they are 284 degrees vs 264 standard on the inlet 11.5mm of lift vs 10.7mm lift standard, 276 degrees exhaust vs248 standard and 11.4mm lift vs 10.2mm I think) From these figs it is possible that the extra lift is not gained by additional valve acceleration since the duration has been increased. Obviously without a very thorough mathematical analysis of the cam acceleration and 'jerk' it is impossible to take an educated view hence the need for trila and error (I would just rather the error wasn't mine !)
