have you looked around for a local firm to fully recon it, it should then be good as new, i think normally this costs £50 - £100, if you're stuck i know a place near brighton, sussex that does them.


Does anyone know where to buy a new alternator from ?

AS I have a new everything else, water pump, oil pump engine etc, etc I want to replace the alternator as it is a little noisy (Rattle etc) on tickover.

BMW want £189 + vat !......
